We have made necessary organisational changes to stay sustainable and continue supporting the health and wellbeing of deaf people, while asking for compassion for those affected.
This is a challenging time for charities for many different reasons, and many organisations and their Boards are having to make difficult decisions about the services they deliver, how they deliver them, and the size and shape of their workforce.
With around 220 staff, our role as one of the UK’s leading deaf‑led charities is to remove barriers and improve the health and wellbeing of deaf people. That purpose continues to guide everything we do. But, like many charities, we are not immune to external pressures.
To make sure we are ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead, we have taken some very difficult but necessary steps. These include making some changes to our structure. These changes were carefully considered so that can continue to support the deaf community’s health and wellbeing in the most sustainable way.
Saying goodbye to our talented colleagues is never easy. We are truly grateful for their hard work, dedication, and contribution to SignHealth. We ask everyone to respect the privacy of those affected, and to offer compassion and support where you can.
