Healthy Minds for deaf children and young people training

Join SignHealth for our Healthy Minds for deaf children online training. Learn how to run activities to help support the emotional health and wellbeing of deaf children and young people.

Cost: £150 per person

This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals to develop skills and tools to support deaf children and young people with their wellbeing. The training tackles issues around low self-esteem, isolation, stress and anxiety. It also encourages the use of positive strategies for:

  • dealing with change
  • developing confidence
  • and building social skills.

You will also receive access and learn how to effectively use the Healthy Minds for deaf children resources and peer learning.

Who is it for?

Professionals who work with deaf children and young people, in education, health or social care settings this can include teachers, teaching assistants, and children’s healthcare staff – anyone working with deaf children.

Facilitator

Martin Brown has over 30 years of experience delivering training to professionals both in-person and online. Since 2011, Martin has delivered the Healthy Minds training programme throughout the UK to a wide range of professionals in the education, health, and social care sectors. Martin, who is Deaf, brings a warm, friendly style and a good sense of humour to every session, making training practical, engaging, and fun. His goal is simple: to show how the Healthy Minds programme encourages the use of positive strategies for developing confidence in the children you support.
