Welcome to the memorial page for Mohammed Tabib (known as Tabib), who died suddenly of a suspected heart attack on 11th January 2021.

Tabib was a well known person in the Handsworth area of Birmingham and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He enjoyed going out and about, and was known for his travels on public transport around the local area. He had a sense of humour, liked buying clothes and was not afraid to get his point across.

In an article in the Birmingham Mail, Tabib’s brother said “Tabib was hugely popular in the community and much-loved by his family. He was born with a hearing impairment and had lots of health issues and learning difficulties, but he was deaf and proud”.

In a statement on Facebook, Birmingham Deaf Community Group wrote: “Tabib was such a large character, we will never forget him. He had a great heart and was a really friendly person. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends at this time”.

Although Tabib experienced some difficulties in his life, he was lucky to have many friends and many others will forever remember him – his style, his bags and his attitude!

R.I.P. Mohammed Tabib.

It is the wish of Tabib’s family and friends to encourage loved ones to make a donation to SignHealth in his memory.
