We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Director of Quality Standards to join our expanding operations leadership team and help us shape the future of high-quality, impact driven services.   

The role  

As the Assistant Director of Quality Standards, you’ll provide strategic leadership to ensure that our growing range of specialist health and social care services are safe, compliant, and of the highest quality. This is a critical role that impacts our services in social care, domestic abuse support, children and young people’s programmes, and clinical talking therapies.   

You’ll work closely with our leadership team to drive continuous improvement, manage regulatory compliance, and support the expansion of our services. This role also includes acting as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), playing a pivotal role in safeguarding across the organisation.   

Key responsibilities   

  • Lead regulatory compliance across all services, ensuring adherence to CQC requirements and best practices.   
  • Develop and monitor internal quality frameworks, audits, and risk management strategies.   
  • Negotiate social care fees, manage placements, and maximise operational income.   
  • Oversee staff training and development in compliance, safeguarding, and specialist mental health care.   
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local authorities, and safeguarding boards.   
  • Act as DDSL, ensuring robust safeguarding policies, training, and incident management across all services.   
  • Deputise for the Director of Operations when required 
  • Some out of hours emergency contact may be required.  

What we’re looking for  

We’re looking for a strategic, solution focused leader with a passion for making a difference and the ability to deliver excellence in a regulated environment.   

Essential:   

  • Proven experience in compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance in health or social care.   
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and safeguarding legislation.   
  • Expertise in supporting vulnerable groups, including children and adults.   
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.   
  • A commitment to promoting deaf culture and willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL)  

Desirable 

  • In-depth understanding of the unique needs of deaf individuals in mental health and social care settings.
