SignHealth is a passionate and unique deaf-led charity, committed to creating a future where there are no barriers to good health and wellbeing for deaf people.
We know that there are not enough accessible services to support deaf young people adequately and that deaf children and young people are more likely to experience mental wellbeing problems compared to their hearing peers.
SignHealth has been working for some time to improve this offer, working with key stakeholders and funders. We are committed to improving a good mental health pathway and wide range of quality health education for deaf children and young people. We currently deliver wellbeing support and workshops to children and young people on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics across England with a commitment to expanding this across the UK.
This post will be responsible for engaging with deaf children and young people directly by supporting our workshop delivery offer.
We are proud to deliver impactful wellbeing support and workshops to children and young people across England and we are growing. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to help us engage directly with deaf children and young people, supporting and delivering our workshop programme.
This role involves working with services specific to England (e.g. safeguarding systems, education frameworks, funding bodies)
This role has regular in-person work or travel within England.
This is an exciting, people-focused role where no two days are the same.
You will work closely with young people, schools, and community settings while helping shape engaging, inclusive health education experiences.
We strongly encourage applicants from all genders.
