The Domestic Abuse team are the only deaf led service in UK. We have a team of specialist advisors who provide active frontline services to those who are experiencing domestic abuse and need support in their first language, British Sign Language (BSL).
SignHealth has recently been awarded a new contract to expand our existing services. This role will be part of a brand-new team making it an exciting time to join.
We are looking for an Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advisor to join our team. We know that deaf victims/survivors are at risk of domestic abuse or sexual violence, getting support is hard and when they wish to disclose, we will provide support and advice. We want them to be empowered and make positive choices on how to stay safe from abuse.
Do you have experience of supporting deaf people though casework, signposting and supporting them?
Do you have experience working in domestic abuse or sexual violence?
Are you a great communicator in BSL?
Are you flexible and enjoy travelling?
