People Partner – Recruitment Job Advert in BSL

About the role

About us

At SignHealth, we’re not just hiring—we’re breaking down barriers and transforming lives. As a deaf-led charity, we’re committed to ending health inequalities and creating a workplace where everyone belongs. Now is the perfect time to join our growing People Team as we invest in a brand-new People Strategy to build an inclusive, rewarding, and high-performing organisation.

Here, your ideas matter, your expertise is valued, and your passion for inclusion and equity can create real change.

Why join SignHealth

We’re investing in our people like never before. With our first-ever People Strategy, led by our Chief People & Culture Officer, we are shaping a workplace where everyone belongs, thrives, and contributes to our purpose of a healthy deaf community.

We’re building a new structure within our People Team to support our strategy. This is an exciting time to get in at the ground level, shape the future of SignHealth, and make a lasting impact.

At the strategic level, you’ll help shape decisions that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of deaf people across the UK. We believe that supporting others begins with supporting our own people. Our People Strategy lays the foundation for a workplace where everyone feels valued, empowered, and proud to belong.

As a deaf-led organisation, we celebrate British Sign Language (BSL) as a core part of our culture. Every team member is encouraged and supported to develop their BSL skills to at least Level 2, fostering stronger communication and deeper connections across our organisation.

About the role

As our Recruitment Partner, you will be the driving force behind attracting, sourcing, and securing top talent to support our mission. You’ll lead the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless and accessible experience for candidates while working closely with hiring managers to build a diverse, skilled workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

What you’ll do
  • Lead Full-Cycle Recruitment – From job design to onboarding, ensuring a smooth and inclusive hiring experience.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion – Develop strategies to attract deaf candidates and underrepresented groups.
  • Promote Our Employer Brand – Position SignHealth as an employer of choice through creative campaigns and engagement.
  • Ensure Compliance – Keep recruitment legally sound while maintaining high standards of accessibility.
  • Leverage Data and Insights – Use recruitment metrics to improve our processes and make evidence-based decisions.
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, ideally in charity, healthcare, or non-profit sectors.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law related to recruitment and hiring.
  • High-volume recruitment experience and expertise in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Passion for inclusivity and a commitment to accessible recruitment practices.
  • Excellent communication skills – building relationships and ensuring a great candidate experience.
  • BSL Level skills (or willingness to learn to minimum of Level 2).
