Position: Support Worker (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £10.18 an hour plus sleep in allowance
Hours: Full time (40 hours a week), 12 month Fixed Term Contract (to cover maternity leave)
Additional Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum, pro rata, pension and sick pay

About the Role:
As a Support Worker at SignHealth you will be providing high quality health and social care support to Deaf individuals, some of whom have mental health conditions. You will be expected to provide support in both the community and in a residential care home.
This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity, where every day is different!
In this role you will gain recognised qualifications, all staff must, in their period of probation, complete the Care Certificate.
As a Support Worker you will be working with adults at risk, the successful candidate will be subject to a DBS Check at an enhanced level & Independent Safeguarding Adults clearance.
In order to be successful in the role of Support Worker you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
- Level 2 or above, British Sign Language and knowledge of Deaf Culture
- Previous experience of working in Health and Social Care
- A belief in, and positive attitude to the principles of community care
- A commitment to equal opportunities and the empowerment of clients
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A person centred approach and values
