So we hosted a live online event for the Deaf community with key staff and a trustee from
SignHealth to answer your questions and provide information about our mental health work.

Deepa Shastri – Event Host
Deepa will be our Event Host for this live event. Deepa has a long history of supporting SignHealth and interest in mental health. She works in the Arts sector.
James Watson-O’Neill – CEO
James has been the Chief Executive at SignHealth since 2016 and was awarded an OBE for services to Deaf people in the late Queen’s New Year’s Honours in 2022.
Lucy Warnes – Director
Lucy is our Director of Communications and Fundraising. She is responsible for the development and implementation of SignHealth’s Communications and Fundraising strategy.
Dr Sarah Powell – Lead Clinical Psychologist
Sarah is our Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist. She is responsible for the management and delivery of our Psychological Therapy services.
Christine McPherson – Trustee
Christine is one of SignHealth’s Trustees. She is a retired social worker, having worked with Deaf people in specialist Deaf mental health services and managed mainstream mental health services.
