Statement from Mark Perry, Chair, and Amanprit Arnold, Vice Chair:
We are pleased to announce that after a competitive recruitment process, Lucy Warnes has been appointed as the new Chief Executive at SignHealth.
SignHealth is a deaf-led charity working for a future where there are no barriers to good health and wellbeing for all deaf people.
Our new Chief Executive Lucy, who is a deaf BSL user, was promoted from the role of Director of Engagement. She joined SignHealth in 2022 after working for a range of charities in fundraising and marketing roles. We look forward to working with Lucy as she takes on the Chief Executive role to grow and deliver our strategy.
Lucy said, “I am honoured and thrilled to take on the role of Chief Executive at SignHealth. Every day I am inspired by our work and impact. James Watson-O’Neill has been an outstanding Chief Executive and I wish him every success. I am proud of the recent huge growth in our services for deaf people. And I look forward to continuing to build on this. I am excited to work with our board, staff, partner organisations and allies to end deaf health inequality.”
