Amanprit has served on the SignHealth Board of Trustees for four years and is pleased to step into the role of Chair in September 2025. Her career has focused on providing independent strategic advice to governments, institutions, and major organisations on a wide range of urban development and land‑use challenges.
Born deaf, Amanprit discovered her strong deaf identity in her teens. She brings this lived experience, alongside her professional expertise, to her leadership at SignHealth.

Amanprit Arnold, Chair of SignHealth:
“My aim is simple, which has always been to make health care genuinely accessible for deaf people and to make SignHealth the go to provider for deaf health across the UK. This means making sure that every health service knows how to work with us and deliver safe and dignified care through British Sign Language. This includes better partnership with the NHS.
I’m proud to be working alongside our diverse board members, our CEO and amazing staff. Their BSL-first expertise, commitment and lived experience will be central to everything we do. I’m glad to be supporting such a talented and driven team.
SignHealth will continue to combine frontline services with national advocacy using lived experience to drive policy, secure sustainable funding and remove systematic barriers so the highest quality, culturally, informed care can be delivered. Together we can make SignHealth trusted visible voice and the first point of call for deaf health in this country.”
