Following their recent resignations, SignHealth would like to thank Jess Phillips MP and Alex Davies-Jones MP for their commitment to tackling violence against women and girls. It has made a real difference and we are grateful to have worked with them and wish them well.

Deaf women face twice the level of domestic abuse, and deaf children three times, compared to hearing people. Yet most services are still not equipped to support deaf survivors. Many lack deaf awareness, BSL access, and specialist provision and a lot is still yet to be done.
We now welcome Natalie Fleet MP and Catherine Atkinson MP into their new roles and look forward to working with them together to ensure responses to VAWG are inclusive, accessible and meet the needs of deaf people.

Services, commissioners and policymakers must act now to invest in deaf-led support, improving accessibility, and ensuring deaf survivors are not left behind.
We support victims of domestic abuse and work to prevent it…
